Libretto: William Busnach (1832–1907), cousin of Bizet’s wife Geneviève and director of the Théâtre de l’Athénée.

Composition: 1872. At the performance in 1872 the composer was named as H. Vincent, a name not known to be responsible for any other music except an arrangement of Massenet's Scènes alsaciennes published by Heugel. Pigot, however, reported that the music was by Bizet, which may be correct, and that it was performed in 1868 or 1869 at the Menus-Plaisirs, which is incorrect.

Autograph score: not known.
Manuscript libretto: not known.
Manuscript orchestral parts: not known. Pigot mentions orchestral parts (but no vocal parts) being sold to Busnach by the Menus-Plaisirs in 1884 or 1885.
