probably 1871, for publication by Durand,
Schœnewerk. Only one movement, the Allegro
scherzando, was published at this time. The full work first appeared from
Durand in 1894. It is possible that
Bizet was also responsible for the two-piano arrangement of the
concerto, whose arranger’s name is not given (pl. no. G.H.
266, 1868, F-Pn
A.47147).

Letter:
? 11-1871, Bizet to Hartmann:
'Il est 5 h. du matin, et je n’ai pas le temps de pousser la
correction aussi loin que je le désirerais. Les grosses fautes ont, je crois,
disparu. Mais il doit encore manquer des nuances et quelques accidents. Je n’ai pas
assez de temps pour accepter la responsabilité complète de la chose. Camille n’a pas
indiqué la Pédale (dans le piano principal) - est-ce avec intention ?
