Saint-Saëns, 2ème Concerto pour piano

piano solo
Original work: Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921), Deuxième concerto pour piano et orchestre, op. 22, composed in 1868, first performed on 13-5-1868, published in an arrangement for two pianos by Hartmann in 1868 and in full score by Durand in 1876.
Transcription: probably 1871, for publication by Durand, Schœnewerk. Only one movement, the Allegro scherzando, was published at this time. The full work first appeared from Durand in 1894. It is possible that Bizet was also responsible for the two-piano arrangement of the concerto, whose arranger’s name is not given (pl. no. G.H. 266, 1868, F-Pn A.47147).
