MO Mo st braue brave and bountifull La: for so excellent fauours favours as I haue have receiued received at your sweet handes, to offer these fewe leaues leaves as in recompence, should be as to offer flowers to the Gods for their diuine divine benefites. Therefore I haue have determined to giue give my selfe wholy to you, as quite abandoned from my selfe, and absolutely vowed to your seruices services : which in all right is euer ever held for full recompence of debt or damage to haue have the person yeelded. My person I wot wel how little worth it is. But the faithfull minde & and humble zeale which I beare vnto unto your La: may perhaps be more of price, as may please you to ac-count and vse use the poore seruice service thereof; which ta-keth glory to aduance advance your excellent partes and noble vertues, and to spend it selfe in honouring you: not so much for your great bounty to my self, The Epistle which yet may not be vnminded unminded ; nor for name or kindreds sake by you vouchsafed, beeing also re-gardable; as for that honorable name, which yee haue have by your braue brave deserts purchast to your self, & and spred in the mouths of al mẽ men : vvith with vvhich which I haue have also presumed to grace my verses, & and vn-der un-der your name to cõmend commend to the vvorld world this smal Poëme, the vvhich which beseeching your La: to take in vvorth worth , and of all things therein according to your vvonted wonted graciousnes to make a milde con-struction, I humbly pray for your happines.
