Copynotes: Cataloged 2015 jmoschella Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in early diced calfskin panelled in a gilt border with a Greek key motif. This copy is annotated throughout, with early marginalia in various hands. The main title page is hand-colored in part and mutilated, with small areas excised and the whole leaf laid onto an old sheet of paper. The autograph of Wiliam Henry Ireland is present on the title page to Prosopopoia. In this copy, the final, blank leaf (Z4) is wanting.
Editionnotes: Printer's name from ESTC. "The teares of the muses", "Prosopopoia", and "Muiopotmos" each have separate title pages, the last dated 1590; register is continuous. Stationer's Register: entered 29 December 1590. Signatures: A-Z⁴ (final leaf blank) Title pages within woodcut borders, with vignettes ; head- and tailpieces; initials.
