Copynotes: The library has only 5 volumes out of 8. From correspondence: "the volumes are in their original bindings, but the spines have all been reinforced with what appears to be some kind of black bookbinding tape. They were circulating at one point, and volumes 1-3 still have the stamps to prove it. They're in okay condition, considering their age, but the binding is somewhat brittle."
Editionnotes: 8v. front. (port.) 13cm. In: ’The poets of Great Britain complete from Chaucer to Churchill’, Bell’s edition, London, printed for John Bell’. With engraved collective titlepages dated 1778. Each volume has an additional letterpress titlepage. Colophons dated: 1778. With a slip containing a note from the publisher inserted in vol.VII.
