Editionnotes: The result of using the 1609 edition [as supplies of various sheets ran out] was that the stock of some of the additional matter in the 1611 edition was exhausted before the stock of the 1612 printing of the Faerie Queen. In 1617, a new title-sheet was printed and prefixed to the remainder stock, the additional pieces being reprinted when necessary. (Even now it seems that some of the original copies of 1609 remained and were issued with the general-title and additional matter dated 1617. Correspondence of 6/3/10 gives the following constituent parts, not necessarily in this order: 1. General Title page: 1617 2. FQ pt. 1: no colophon, B3R shows "YOung Knight" 3. FQ pt. 2: 1612, with colophon misprint "16012" 4. SC: 1617 5. CCCHA: 1617 6. Letter to Raleigh: "Allego-" 1617 7. Prosopopoia: 1613
