St Andrews copy at s PR2358.A1D58 Copy 1; Bound in late 18th or early 19th century sprinkled calf on pasteboards, with a small floral motif tooled in gold around both boards; five raised bands on the spine, with the compartments elaborately tooled in gold; with dark red leather spine label (Spencers Fairy Queen) in second compartment, and red leather volume label in third compartment; all board edges tooled in gold. Vol. 1 has been rebacked in the 20th century.
Condition notes:
Vol. 1: Spine has been rebacked and corners repaired; both boards rubbed; white marks to lower board; occasional light foxing to text block.
Vol. 2: Upper board almost detached; lower joint split; corners very rubbed and bending inwards; lacks tailcap; both boards rubbed.
