Copynotes: Received conservation treatment in 2003, including a new binding (buckram cloth binding). Just flipping through it, the book is in very good condition, with only a little staining from age, some mostly illegible pencil notes in the margins, and a single piece of tape on page 326. It opens very easily. Correspondence of 6/16/10 (in order of appearance): Gen. t.p.: 1617 Pt. 1 FQ: There is no colophon. Page b3r is printed as “Young Knight” – presumably, the later printing. Pt. 2 FQ: 1613; colophon has misprint of 16012 SC: 1617 Prosopopoia: 1613 Letter to Raleigh: First line of text reads “Allego” – presumably 1617. CCCHA:1617 The book is in very good condition, with only a little staining from age, some mostly illegible pencil notes in the margins, and a single piece of tape on page 326.
Editionnotes: Woodcuts: t.p. border, head and tailpieces, initials In verse. Printer’s name from STC. The colophon is dated "16012" [sic]. The second part has separate title page dated 1612; pagination and register are continuous. Variant: this title page dated 1613. The last leaf is blank. A reissue of STC 23084, with cancel general title page and dedication. Signatures: A⁶(-A1+pi²) B-P⁶ Q⁴ R-2H⁶. Issued with STC 23086.7, 23094, 23077.7, and 23087. Some copies have STC 23087.5 in place of the last.
