W.L. Renwick in his edition of the Daphnaida and other poems, London, 1929, describes three variant states of this work, giving seven clues. Five of these
seven clues occur in leaves H4, H5, and H6. In the other two clues this copy is like both the second and third variants. The facsimiles of leaves H5 and H6
and the repairing on H4 have been made from a copy of the third variant. |
