Ideally, we pull the collation notes from the signature--or for the line, if the line number information in the collation database is sufficiently accurate--into this area, and use it in checking that the line is transcribed correctly
This space might be used for a couple of different things. At the simplest, we might put a set of reminders here (e.g., "check for u-to-v", "are the italics transcribed correctly," etc. Or, we might actually put a list of check boxes covering all of those things, and then require that the proofreader check the boxes before approving the line.
