Ss Be It Remembered on the day
of the date hereof Before the undersigned two justices of the peace
of the county aforesaid personally appeared Powell and
who ackknoledged themselves to be indebted to the
State of Missouri , each in the charge of fifty dollars to be of
their own goods and chattels lands and tenaments
that the said Powell personally be and appear
before the court to be held within and for the county
of St Louis on the first monday in February next then and there
to then
to what may there be against him
a certain assault & battery by him commited
against an Indian and further to, by and the judgment of the court in the and not
depart the said court without the thereof
obligation to be void else to be and in full force
and virtue
