The jurors, for the state of Missouri upon their oath present
that Joseph Laberge , Late of the said county of St. Louis Grocer
on the first day of July in the year of our lord One thousand
eight hundred and twenty, with force and arm at the county
of St. Louis aforesaid a large quantity of Beaver skins to wit,
eighteen packs of Beaver Skins , of Great value, to writ of the
value of three hundred dollars for, each pack of the goods &
Chattles, of Joshna Pilcher ,, Joseph Perkins , Andrew woods, Moses ,
Carson ,, John B , & Thomas Hempstead ,, the surviving,
partners of a company of Fur Traders, using the style &
firm, of the Missouri Fur Company " then and there being
found did steal take and carry, away con
trary to the statute in such case made and provided, and
against the peace and Dignity of the ( United States of America )
and of the state.

and the jurors, aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid
do further Prevant - that the said Joseph Lambarge, on the first,
day of July in the year eighteen hundred & Twenty, with force,
and arms, at St Louis in the County aforesaid unlawfully and
unjustly did recieve, & have a large quantity of Beaver skins,
to wit eighteen packs of beaver, skins of great value to wit
of the value of three, hundred dollars for each pack and
a large, quantity of racoon, Skins to wit two packs of
racoon, skins of great value to writ of the value of one.
