The State of Missouri To the Sheriff of said county greeting
Whereas Jerry a free man at our circuit court before our Judge
thereof by our wit and by the judgement of the said court
recovered against Charles Hatton the sum of one hundred
and seventy dollars for the damages by him sustained by
reason of the trespass in the declaration mentioned and an
his costs and charges by him about his suit in that
behalf expended whereof the said Charles Hatton is count it
as appears to us of Record. and now on behalf of the
said Jerry we have been informed that although judgement
be thereof rendered yet execution still remains to be
made of the aforesaid damages and costs wherefore
the said Terry has besought us to provide him a remedy
in this behalf to revise the said judgement and We
willing that what is right in this behalf should. be done
command you as we have heretofore commanded you that
by good and lawful men of your county you make known
unto the said Charles Hatton that he be and appear
before the Judge of our Circuit Court at the next Term
thereof to be held at the city of St Louis on the fourth
monday in November Term then and there to shew cause
if any he have or know of any thing to say why the
said judgement should not be revived and the said Jerry
have thereof execution for the damages and costs aforesaid
if it seem expedient for him to do so and
haveyou then there this wit

The within named Charles Hatton is not to be found in my county, therefore I cannot
make known to him the matters and things that by this writ I am commanded
