within & for the County of St Louis in the Territory of Missouri To all to whom these presents shall come: Greeting

Whereas Antoine Danjen did this day comply with an act of the General assembly of
the Territory of Missouri entitled "An act, Supplementary to the act, providing for the
levying & Collecting territorial and County taxes" I do therefore grant to said Antoine
Danjen,, Licence to trade or traffic with the Indians at any of their Towns or huntingcamps
within the limits of this Territory for & during the term of One Year from the date hereof

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal of
office at my office in St Louis this Twenty sixth day of April in the
year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & seventeen & of
the Independance of the United States the forty first. An act of entitled an act suplementary to an act providing for the buying & soliciting
Territorial & County taxesand for trading with Judiciouspage 56Acts of 1816 & 17.

The applicant shall bring a written permissionfrom the
Govrt of Territory- to pay $ 50 dollars - & two dollars to
for fees- Clerk a copy of said and to the
governor - the original
oath on the territory

true and accuratestatementof the merchandise
which I take with me for the purposes thereinset forth
