Samuel Solomon , administrator of
all and Singular the goods. chattles, rights and credits of
Pierre Dorion Levin deceased, which said Letters of admin
istration are here in Court ready to be produced complains
of Mary P . Leduc for that the said Mary P. on the first
day of April, in the year, one thousand, eight hundered and Eleven,
at the Town and district of Saint Louis was indebted to the said
Pierre Dorion then in full life, in the sum of Two Hundred
and Seventy Six Dollars, lawful money of the United States
for so much money, by the said Mary P. before
that time, for the pay of the said Pierre as interpreted
for the United States , in the Indian Department and being
so the said Mary P. in consideration therefore
there & then assumed upon himself & the said Pierre then
& there faithfully promised to pay him the same sum of
Money on regaining.
And also so that the said Mary
then and there was indebted to the said Pierre , in one other
for the sum of Two Hundred twenty six Dollars lawful
money of the United States . for much money by the
said Pierre for the said Mary P. before that time, paid
laid out and advanced, at her specialrequest & being
so indebted the said Mary P. then & there assumed upon
himself and to the said Pierre promising to pay him
the sum of money on request - & the
said Mary P. in the life time of said Pierre , did not
pay the said sum of money nor either of them to
the said Pierre , nor since the decease of said Pierre
to him the plaintiff his administrator, although
often requested and demanded, to the damage of the plaintiff
an administrator as aforesaid the sum of Five Hundred
Dollars.

We command you to Summons Mary P . Leduc if he may be found within
your bailiwick that he be and appear before the judges of our Court of Common -
pleas to be holden at the town of Saint Louis in and for the district of Saint Louis
on the first Monday of March next then there to answer unto Samuel
Solomon administrator of all and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits
of Pierre Dorion Senior deceased of a plea of trespass on the case to the damage
of the said Samuel Solomon as administrator aforesaid the sum of
Four Hundred Dollars and have you then there this writ
Witness the Honor Silas Bent Esquire presiding judge of our said Court-
the town of Saint Louis aforesaid this ninth day of Febuary in
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eleven
